Dominic Craig
Hi, I'm Dom.
With over 25 years of experience in software design and development, I have worked on a wide variety of products, from award-winning video games like Red Dead Redemption and Dragon Age: Origins to software that allows people to get to work every day, like the Cubic Mobile Suite and Nextbus, to shaping the user experience and driving innovation in creating a unified HP app.
My background in video game design has deeply influenced my approach, emphasizing simple functionality with the importance of creating engaging and intuitive experiences.
In my previous role as the Director of Experience and Design at HP, I spearheaded a global design team to transform the user experience for the unified HP App. Our efforts revolutionized how users interact with HP products, making technology more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
My journey began in 1998, crafting games for Sony on the original PlayStation. Since then, I've embarked on numerous projects for a diverse range of companies, including renowned names like Rockstar Games, HP, Inc., Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), Electronic Arts, Lockheed Martin, EA Bioware, Mastercard, Activision, 23&Me, Sega, New York Metropolitan Transit Agency (MTA), Gearbox Software, the United States Special Forces Command (SOCCOM), and many more.
With my wife, two kids, and dog, I have lived in NW Austin, TX, for over 17 years (and still can't find our way around downtown without having a map app open). I'm a big fan of Chips and Queso at the Alamo Drafthouse and catching the latest movies. I love to run relatively long distances—even in the Texas heat. (The only highlight of summer in Texas is the availability of peach beer.)
